Wawa Adventure(prototype)

Wawa Adventure is a short Gameboy-style game where you fly around and try to go as fast as possible! You take control of seven as they try to retrieve their brother six from the not-so-evil KingFoxco.
Controls are listed in the README file that comes with the game.
Feedback is appreciated as i intend to update this game until it's in a state that I'm fully happy with. Regardless, i hope you enjoy your time with the game and seek future works of mine!

I quite enjoyed it! My only problem is with damage taking, when I ran into the first boss or into a spike I had no time to get out of their hitbox cause of the inability to move when taking damage, I think a possible solution could be giving invincibility frames after you can move again or giving a knockback so that people doesn't get stuck in spikes, or a mix of both. Other than that it's a really pleasant game, it has a simple gameplay with really charming art-style and sound design that really reminds me of retro gameboy games and more so the Kirby series. Im really looking forward to future updates for this and many other games that you may make. Take care!^^
Hello NastyBeast, thanks for the feedback! i have added a small window of time where the player can move after getting hurt without taking damage. Honestly i don't know how i didn't think of that but I'm glad someone pointed it out, take care too!
